As dog parents we want them feeling happy, safe, and comfortable.
We give them extra belly rubs before running out the door, the last bite of our sandwich when they reveal those puppy dog eyes, and sometimes a car ride without any destination just to see the happy look on their face from the rearview mirror.
After years of loving my own dog, Mr. Jack, and meeting so many other sweet dogs I've come to love, one thing has become very clear to me.
Humans and their dogs (or rather dogs and their humans) really do have something special. The bond you share with your dog is rare, and I truly believe it's a love story that deserves its own celebration.
Envision your favorite moments shared with your dog. Are you inside your home, snuggled up together, while you take a sip of wine and scroll through Netflix for a feel-good movie? Maybe it's on a chilly day bundled up while you take them on a walk through your neighborhood. Or maybe it's a hike at your favorite trail, then afterwards they await their journey home with their head out the window.
FEELING A CONNECTION
I want us both to feel on the same page when it comes to creating an experience for you and your dog. If you feel a connection to my art and how I document moments in a stress-free, unpredictable, sometimes messy way, we will be a good fit. It's so important to choose a photographer who you feel comfortable with and feels like a good match.
INQUIRE
To start your experience, please reach out via my contact form provided. From the very start, I want to get to know who your session will involve and what you're looking for in this experience.
RESOURCES AND PLANNING
My available dates will be sent your way and we'll agree upon one that works best for both of us. To get officially booked for your date and start chatting the details of your session, a signed contract and 30% deposit is required. Following booking, I'll send out some helpful resources including a questionnaire, session prep guide, and a style guide. This is all crucial to helping creating a stress-free, and catered experience to you and your dog.
Q: How long does it take to get our photos back?
Q: What if my dog doesn't do well in public places/doesn't get along with other dogs?
Q: What if it rains on our session day?
Q: Can I schedule a session just for my dog? I'm not interested in being in the photos.
Q: Do you offer family sessions? Do we need a dog to book with you?
Q: Can we have the RAW (unedited) photos?
A: Don't worry! I know some great local spots that we can go to avoid other dogs and people. This can all be discussed after filling out your questionnaire so I have a sense of what type of scenery you're interested in.
A: 48 hours before your session, I will be keeping a close eye on the radar. I'll be in contact with you (whichever you prefer) to line up a reschedule date if the weather is looking wet for our session. I keep 1 or 2 reschedule dates available within 2 weeks of your session day so that we can get you in as soon as possible.
A: Absolutely. While I love working with dogs and their humans, I completely understand if you'd like the spotlight to be 100% on your dog. With that being said, I do encourage at least one photo of you with your dog because I personally believe you won't regret seeing your faces side by side.
A: Yes, family sessions are absolutely welcome! All of my sessions + prep guides are specific to bringing your dog(s) along to sessions. That being said, all questionnaire's + guides have questions for humans as well. If you don't have a pet, but you've connected with my style of work. please reach out and I'll see what I'd have available!
A: Typically 4-6 weeks is my turn around time for each session. For busier seasons, such as fall and before the holidays my turn-around time can be up to 8 weeks. I know Christmas cards are a priority for most people, so I do my best to deliver in time for you to get those!
A: Unedited photos are something I never give away. The time that goes into editing your photos is all included in these collections for good reason - it's another form of art that I absolutely love creating. I guarantee that all images that turned out are included in your final image delivery.
Q: Do you work with other pets too?
A: I would absolutely love to give you photos of you and your cat, birds, bunny, etc. Most of my experience is working with dogs, therefore all of my helpful guides + questionnaires are made specifically for dogs and their owners. That being said, if you're really interested in scheduling something with your pet, I'd be happy to see how I can help once I get to know more about what you're looking for + any helpful things you'd need me to know. You should know that I am absolutely terrified of snakes, so I'll have to say no to that one....
